REVIEWS FROM THE CRITICS

REVIEW FROM JUNE 8th, 2011 - Laurie Beechman Theater Show
Last night Lou Villano KILLED at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Grand style entertainment by a truly gifted artist. Bravo Lou! Arnie Gruber's band was tight! Check them out on August 6th at The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center - you will be entertained.” From Panache

Janice Zamsky of Century Village writes about Lou's show on May 8th, 2010: Lou Villano, the main act was a stellar performer! Aided by a pianist and drummer, Lou charmed his way into the audience's hearts with his singing, a little dancing, and most of all, his vibrant personality! Villano explained his theme of Luck, Love and Romance for his evening's act and he didn't disappoint! He opened with Luck Be A Lady followed by I'll Take Romance. His tribute to Sammy Davis, Jr., which included renditions of That Old Black Magic (outstanding), Candy Man, Mr. Bojangles, and What Kind of Fool Am I, was "GREAT".  What a talented showman extraordinaire.

Robert Metcalf, Producer / Art Director of Studio C, an online channel service - Fulton, NY:
"I love your voice , your phrasing is excellent. I love gifted talented people and you sir are one of them. I came across your video today, as I did a search for Barry Manilow's version of "Come Dance With Me / Come Fly With Me". There you were so I took a chance , watched you and loved it".

Sal Macaluso, President Italian American Club of Platina:  "Just want to say that you did a great job. I've been President for almost 11 years and never have I seen my members give a standing ovation to an entertainer, and also tell me that we have never had an entertainer as good as you. So for myself and my members "Thank you very much".

Jeff Smolokoff, President of the Kings Point Brooklyn Club: "I must have had at least a half dozen people come over to me as well as several days later to tell me that they thought you were the best entertainment we had since we began the club (August 2004). I can 't remember having our audience give an entertainer a standing ovation. I can't wait to see you perform again, hopefully in our clubhouse. Thanks again for a fabulous performance".

Janice Zamsky of Century Village writes on Lou's first performance at CV 2008: "A terrific voice, personality, looks; this Brooklyn native has it all! Lou Villano thoroughly charmed the CVE audience Saturday night, April 12th, 2008."

The Philadelphia Club  Delray Beach May 4th comments:  "Lou's American Bandstand versions of Dream Lover, and Teenager in Love ending with Oh What a Night, feet were tapping, hands were moving and bodies were swaying as we were transported to earlier times in our lives." "Lou was given a standing ovation following My Way, an ultimate of Sinatra's signature songs."
